 Just a note to let folks know we're still here and that, as we said from the start, Full/Crescent press publishes "when we can, on no set schedule, when we find work we believe needs to make its way into the world." As with so many presses, large and small, the pandemic slowed us down. We chose to let go of the used book business that was helping to fund so many of our projects, and editor Paula J. Lambert decided it was time to focus on her own writing for a while. She has since published several of her own collections of poetry: How to See the World (Bottom Dog Press 2020), The Ghost of Every Feathered Thing (FutureCycle Press 2022), Uncertainty (The Only Hope We Have) (Bottlecap Features 2023), As If This Did Not Happen Every Day (Sheila-Na-Gig Editions 2024), Sinkhole (Bottlecap Features 2025) and Terms of Venery, Revised (Sheila-Na-Gig Editions 2025). Whew! That's in addition to various featured presentations and her work as a literary translator.
While we have no immediate plans for what our next project will be, we're keeping our eyes and ears open. We're very proud of the work we've helped make its way into the world, and we believe poetry and poetry publishing are part of keeping the world a better place--a place where moving slowly and thoughtfully through it is perfectly okay.
